We’re in Toronto for ICOMOS Canada’s Annual Symposium

“Heritage and Democracy : Bringing Heritage out of History and into the City”  is the theme for our 2016 symposium which takes place in Toronto May 5-7, 2016.

On Thursday, 5 May, the Toronto The Good 2016 Party, organized by E.R.A. Architects on Thursday evening at the Distillery District, celebrates the anniversary of Jane Jacobs’ 100th birthday (May 4th) and the launch of the Jane’s Walk festival (May 6th – May8th).

Friday’s day-long event is planned around integrating ICOMOS Canada into the Jane’s Walks events – a chance for people to meet and share ideas. Tours and workshops are planned to discuss new ways of viewing and integrating heritage on our everyday lives.

Saturday morning proposes a lecture and a discussion on the impact of climate change on heritage. The AGM will follow.
