The National Conversation is in Progress

The ICOMOS Canada National Conversation on Cultural Landscape (NCCL) invites you to share your cultural landscape case study with us. We are taking stock of the cultural landscape approach in Canada and are looking to collect case studies for the website. Go to www.nccl-ccpc.canada.icomos.org to tell us about your project – its objectives, outcomes, who was involved and lessons learned – and become part of the conversation.

The NCCL continues to host its online discussion series as one of the main outreach activities of the initiative. This series brings together ICOMOS Canada members and others to engage online in real time with a guest speaker on a topic related to cultural landscapes. Topics covered to date include international frameworks for thinking about cultural landscapes, case studies from PFS Studio in Vancouver, ways of viewing the landscape and the Canadian World Heritage cultural landscape of Grand Pré. If you have a speaker or topic you would like to propose as part of this series, please email the [email protected].

We invite you to visit the NCCL website to find out more about the initiative, to view presentations from the discussion series and see the list of upcoming speakers, and/or to upload a case study. You can click on our featured link “JOIN the CONVERSATION” anywhere you see it on the ICOMOS Canada website.
