Heritage Montreal Celebrates the International Day for Monuments and Sites

HERITAGE AND RURAL LANDSCAPES

For the 11th year in a row, Heritage Montreal is bringing together partners from various horizons to celebrate the International Day for Monuments and Sites, on April 18, declared by UNESCO at the request of ICOMOS, the International Council on Monuments and Sites. In 2019, this international day is dedicated to the theme of heritage and rural landscapes.

In collaboration with the Musée des maîtres et artisans du Québec (MMAQ), situated in the borough of Saint-Laurent, Heritage Montreal organizes a special activity on Tuesday, April 16. On this occasion, the Musée des maîtres et artisans du Québec invites you to discover the objects in its collection that relate to rural heritage. The visit will be followed by a seminar that will take a look at rural landscapes in Montreal and around the world, as well as two of our city’s remarkable sites.
