Happy New Year!

We hope that you had restful winter holidays, and that 2023 is starting well for you.

As we leave 2022 behind, ICOMOS Canada would like to remind its current and past members to consider renewed support as a member for 2023, and to invite newcomers to join us.

2022 was an active and transformative year for ICOMOS Canada. We launched the Youth in Heritage program, funding 100 jobs for youth across the country, played a key role in founding the Canadian Coalition for Cultural Heritage in Ukraine which has helped send much needed supplies to heritage workers in war zones, and held a successful 50th Anniversary Celebration speaker series partnered with CCUNESCO and Parks Canada.

In 2023 ICOMOS Canada is planning to continue growing while undergoing transitions as we say goodbye to Christophe Rivet as president after his long and successful leadership and look forward to new initiatives which will help expand ICOMOS Canada’s profile as a leader in both national and international heritage.

With this said, If you are a heritage professional or interested in heritage conservation, we invite you to consider becoming a member in 2023, and to consider joining one of our active committees, becoming an appointed member of one of ICOMOS’s International Scientific Committees, or supporting one of our ongoing initiatives through volunteer work. By joining us, we are stronger through a diversity of expertise; we have a greater impact in Canada and internationally for the places we care about and the people that depend on them.

If you have any questions, please contact our executive director, at [email protected] for more information.

We also invite you to consider a one time or monthly donation today at https://www.canadahelps.org/en/dn/57002
