December 2021, marks the 25th anniversary of the Blue Shield, an organization dedicated to highlighting and protecting cultural heritage at risk. In 1996, ICA, ICOM, ICOMOS, and IFLA came together in Paris and signed an agreement to create the International Committee of the Blue Shield (ICBS) which went on to become the Blue Shield, an organization consisting of national committees and members around the world.
