2021 Online lecture series: Inclusive and Participatory World Heritage Interpretation and Presentation

Since 2020, the preparatory office for the International Centre for the Interpretation and Presentation of World Heritage Sites under the auspices of UNESCO (WHIPIC), has been holding online lecture series to offer an opportunity for a better understanding of World Heritage Interpretation and Presentation and World Heritage issues through the lectures full of insights from the lecturers’ researches and experiences. The Online Lecture Series also has been a chance for heritage professionals and the public to share their opinions and ideas on World Heritage issues online.

This month, the final session of the 2020 & 2021 Online Lecture Series will be held on 18 November (Thursday). In this Special Session, Professor Neil Silberman and Professor Mario Santana-Quintero will have a conversation on ‘Inclusive and Participatory World Heritage Interpretation and Presentation.’

The Special Session consists of a 10-minutes presentation for each participant and a 20-minutes conversation on Heritage Interpretation and Presentation. Following that, a 20-minutes Q&A session with public participants’ questions will be held. The event will be conveyed in English and publicly accessible for viewing without prior registration.
