ICOMOS Canada has set up a fund to commemorate Martin Weaver’s dedication to: EDUCATION, TRAINING, and RESEARCH in HERITAGE CONSERVATION.

The fund will be used to promote knowledge in the above mentioned areas of Heritage Conservation.


Mission 

Inspired by the life’s work of the late Professor Martin Weaver, the ICOMOS Canada Martin Weaver Memorial Fund is committed to promoting practical, hands-on education, training and research in the field of heritage conservation in Canada.


Objectives

  1. To showcase the latest work in the field of heritage conservation in Canada and abroad for the interested Canadian public, by inviting distinguished practitioners to deliver an annual Martin Weaver Memorial Lecture.
  2. To contribute to the development of future practitioners in the field of heritage conservation in Canada by awarding an annual Martin Weaver Memorial Bursary.
  3. To undertake other projects to promote the hands-on field of heritage conservation in Canada, as our finances permit.
